Great Chinese Buffet in Johnson City

Stopped by today to get a takeout container for a quick lunch. The selection was decent...I remember there being more choices when I was a kid but I might be remembering incorrectly. The woman who rang me up was friendly and attentive. Food was ok and it was definitely cheap--less than $7 for a takeout box.

The food is good. Although some is seriously dried out. Cockroaches on the plates. Will never goto this place again. Health department should really look at this place

For a buffet, I find the food to be really fresh and tasty. In my opinion it feels like and taste like home cooking. I am always both delighted and comforted when I go to this place.I especially like taking a big bowl of steamed rice sprinkling it with the fresh green onions they have chopped by the super station. And then I take a plate of their baked salmon and some of their roast chicken. Topped off with some spicy cabbage and vegetable stir-fry. Oh my what a treat!

Very nice service. Prompt seating and very good food at a good price for a buffet.

I hated it. The food was cold! It wasn't even close to closing time and they were clearing everything out. We felt rushed and didn't enjoy one bit of it!

Came to have dinner around 9pm and everything seems so old and dry. I told the server, and they were saying that was it. So they’re not gonna make more food out. As I was half way through my meal, the kitchen staff were all out and were like staring at us. Pretty much saying “why are you still here?!” I thought they close at 10pm, but it seems like that’s not the case because as soon as I leave they started cleaning. Well if your closing hours are not what it saids on the door or online, you should change it and not stare your customers down like that!

Can you say”food poisoning”? If you enjoy projectile vomiting and diarrhea and spend the remainder of your weekend in bed, then this is the place for you. Otherwise stay away!

They have amazing food and the staff is super friendly. The restaurant is very clean to. I highly recommend this buffet. The prices are decent as well.

Get sick every time my family visits. Finally decided to just never visit again.

Quality had gone down. Booths are torn. Food was mediocre, and cold. 😔

Thought there were crab legs on sunday...not for lunch. Almost everything was cool, except general tsaos chicken. Sushi was fresh and delicious. Service was okay, felt rushed though.

A decent place to eat come to the lunch buffet and instead of getting a soda get hot tea instead. Tea is free and healthier.

Great service, and pretty good food, they have sushi, hibachi and ice cream. You can take out as well. Brilliant pricing you can sit at table or booth.

A large menu plenty to eat if you like or don't like Chinese.

The prices for the buffet style are very reasonable and there is an excellent variety of food to choose from. The staff are very pleasant as well.

Love this place, but can be a bit pricey. Me and my kids have opted to doing take out because you get much more food and pay less of a price. The place can use an update, and the waiters and waitresses could be a bit more friendly but overall the food is delicious. Never had a complaint about their food. It's top notch and always on point.

I don’t like to leave negative reviews to buffets because I do understand it’s very difficult to run a buffet however I left this buffet hungry. There wasn’t a single dish that tasted decent to me. Quality of every dish was extremely poor

The food was ok but they need to keep the food hot. They need a better selection of food to choose from.

Wouldn't even give it one star... absolutely disgusting. Nothing was even remotely warm, wasn't even there 20 minutes and waiter brought the check. Watched an employee sneeze in her hand as she was mixing around the cold food and wipe it on her shirt, looked at me and walked away. Never again. Waste of $40.

Great during lunchtime. Great during dinnertime. Wouldnt recommend visiting between them or after dinner.

Best Chinese I've had ever!

Didn't care for the food as the fried chicken and things tasted like it was cooked with the fried fish.

Ordered fried noodles for to go, bring back home , open, is steam rice. Disappointed

Arrived at about 2 and the food was luke warm. This gave most of the food a strange texture. I have dined here before and enjoyed it. I will make sure not to go again during off peak hours

I Havent been here in years! I'd atleast thought it would be upgraded in many ways! My honest opinion in my experience I'd say was very pitiful in all ways! Food was pit. Really had no service since there was only 4 tables max. I guess you get what you pay for but I'd honestly go to buffet star in vestal (.) Foods way better there with more selections and price is just about the same! If anyone says this place was great,!!! They have no taste at all what so ever. Thanks ......(just go to buffet star)

Me and my daughter went there 2 days ago we litterraly took two bites of two different foods it was horrible cold and old we complained and still hade to pay and left well 29 hours latter got so sick horribly sick. Be careful going there. Health department knows about this know. Look at the review rates! And the good reviews have to be fake no names or anything with them and there ratings are still way low

The food tastes good , low price

I feel horrible giving them a low rating because the staff are so nice, but I got really sick after eating there last week (we think it was a case of mild food poisoning), and I just saw photos someone shared of a bug in one of their dishes. I really, honestly hope they can improve and fix these issues, but I just can't in good conscience recommend them.

Very well done Chinese buffet! There were so many choices of food that were constantly being filled even when it wasn’t too busy. The staff was very attentive. It was very inexpensive at about 12 dollars per person. I will come back here next time I want some Chinese buffet!

Stay away if you like bugs then go

If you can get here first thing in the morning the food is gold when its fresh!

Great food,reasonable price,pleasant staff

The buffet is average price and quality, the service is not good at lunch time. The picture on both walls are nice and great feelings which matches the name of the restaurant. Three stars give to the memory at that moment, which we were staving and hard to find a good place to eat. We talked a lot about Chinese culture and traditions during the meal and discuss the dishes which are traditional and which are not. Hope this restaurant can offer more traditional Chinese dishes, and bring more eastern cultures into this. That’s would be the major reason people will stop by and share with others. Improve services would be better for the experience. Will bring friends to visit more if there is some changes and improvements.

almost $30 for two people to eat lukewarm (at best) food that had clearly been sitting out for a while

Been there multiple times before and have seen a live roach crawling on the stack of clean plates. I could explain multiple other things to gross you out but just don’t go.

Was a nice lunch, for $7.49. Brad enjoyed his clams.😋

We had a bad experience a while back and thought we would give it another try. The wait staff was very friendly and nice. When we got out first plate of food some of the food was cold, my second plate all of the food was cold and i couldn't eat it...

We got there when it first opened, hot food was okay with flavor. A bus came in with kids and a few adult's. As we sat there eating the kids never changed the plates they were using!!!! Touching the silverware and chopsticks they at off of with the serving spoons and putting them back in the food. When the male worker was told he said " that's what Chinese do". No sir it's not okay this is not your home this is a public restaurant and against health code violations. He then said yay,yay and walked away. Needless to say I will be calling the health department in the morning.
